A burner that clicks and clicks without lighting is the igniter, the spark module, or a burner cap seated a millimeter out of position on a base that has corroded. An oven quietly running under its setpoint is a temperature sensor that has drifted while the control obeys it faithfully.
Temperature drift is worth catching before it costs somebody a range. A cavity sensor that has aged high holds its error steadily, so nothing looks broken from the kitchen side: the roasts simply take longer and the pastry stops setting. We meter the sensor cold, where its resistance at room temperature says immediately whether it has moved, then log real cavity temperature through a full cycle against what was asked for. A consistent offset is a sensor or a calibration job. A reading that wanders points at the control side instead, and that is a different part and a different price.
