Thermador
Thermador Appliance Repair in Orange County
Thermador puts more electronics into a kitchen than any other line we service, and in South Orange County that lands in two very different kinds of house. In the older coastal properties around Dana Point Harbor and Capistrano Beach it is usually a Professional rangetop with a wall oven above it. In the newer inland kitchens of Talega, Ladera Ranch and Coto de Caza it is more often Freedom induction, a steam oven and a refrigeration column, all reporting to a panel with an opinion about every fault. That opinion is where the diagnosis starts. A sensor reading out of range is sometimes a failed sensor, and just as often a working sensor honestly reporting a condition somewhere else, so it goes on a meter before anything is ordered.
The star burner and the ExtraLow simmer setting are worth knowing about before anyone starts pulling parts. A simmer burner is supposed to cycle, so a customer describing a burner that keeps going out on the lowest setting is often describing normal behavior, while a burner that will not hold a low flame at all is usually a fouled port or a gas pressure problem rather than a control failure. On induction the fault we see most in the newer inland kitchens is heat rather than electronics: a cooktop set into a tight island run above a warming drawer heat-soaks through a long afternoon and shuts itself down to protect the electronics, and the fix is the airflow path, not the board.

Start from the fault instead
- Why is my oven not heating properly?
- Why is my Sub-Zero refrigerator not cooling?
- Why is there water under my refrigerator?
- What is the loud humming or rattling from my refrigerator?
- Why does frost keep building up in my freezer?
- Why is my wine cooler not holding temperature?
- Why has my ice maker stopped making ice?
Our old Viking would light second time when the kitchen was already warm and refuse completely first thing in the morning. He measured what the igniter was actually drawing rather than just looking at it glow, and that was that. Cleaned up a corroded burner cap too.
The undercounter drawers in our island got warmer all summer and I had already started looking at replacements, which would have meant pulling apart cabinetry built around them. Coil packed solid and a runner sitting over the grille. He showed me the coil rather than just telling me.
Called late Friday night when our refrigerator stopped working. The technician arrived within the hour and fixed the issue quickly. Excellent 24/7 emergency service saved our weekend and food.

Questions
Answers before you call
Will having you out affect my manufacturer warranty?
Check the paperwork first. A Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking or Thermador inside its factory period belongs to the manufacturer, and the sealed system is where that matters: who opens it decides whether cover survives. Newer kitchens in Talega, Ladera Ranch and Coto de Caza are often still covered; the older built-ins above the harbor and the pier are long past it. Our parts are factory-approved regardless.
